#TravelTipsTuesday: How to write a #TravelReview
2016-01-26There are way too many ambiguous reviews out there—both good and bad. If you want to write a review of you favorite place or that hole-in-the-wall you’ll never visit again, here are the basics of writing a good and informative travel review.
- Tell people who you are and what you’re about. Make sure you include who’s in your travel party and what you were looking to get out of your trip—example: Family with 3 young kids looking for adventure on a budget.
- List your pros and cons as specifically as possible. Don’t just make vague useless statements like, “This place is awesome!” or “The accommodations where awful”. Let people know exactly what you liked or disliked.
- Post pictures so people can see exactly what you’re talking about.
- If you’re somehow affiliated with the place you’re reviewing, be upfront about it.
- Above all, be honest—that means no exaggerating, embellishing, or trash talking
Travel reviews are a great way to pay it forward to your fellow travelers. We all work hard for our money so its nice to have good/well written reviews to go by when you’re planing a vacation.
