About Utah

Utah is a state in the Western U.S. known for its diverse natural landscapes encompassing mountains, high plateaus, and deserts. Approximately 80% of its population lives along the Wasatch Front in the north-central region, leaving vast expanses of the state's rugged terrain sparsely populated. Utah is also home to the "Mighty 5" national parks: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion.
For ski holidays, Utah is a world-class destination renowned for having what is legally trademarked as "The Greatest Snow on Earth®". This unique, light, and dry powder is the result of the state's specific geography and climate, with many resorts receiving an average of 500 inches of annual snowfall. A major draw for skiers and snowboarders is the unparalleled accessibility: ten of Utah's fifteen resorts, including major destinations like Park City, Deer Valley, and Snowbird, are located within an hour's drive of the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The resorts offer a variety of terrain for all skill levels, from wide beginner runs to challenging expert chutes, along with luxury amenities, dining, and vibrant ski town experiences in places like Park City. Deer Valley is an upscale, skier-only resort, while Park City Mountain Resort is the largest ski area in the United States.
