2-7 Nights (or more)Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is located in the Teton Mountains of Wyoming. The ski resort is in Teton Village, just 12 miles northwest of the town of Jackson. Jackson Hole Mountain has it all, from wide-open bowls to steep chutes and all the tree skiing you can handle in between. The resort also has long intermediate cruisers to carve your way down the mountain on and some great beginner areas for those learning how to carve.
The Tetons are a steep and jagged mountain range well known for mountaineering, extreme skiing, and two beautiful national parks, Grand Teton & Yellowstone. Grand Teton National Park is located at the base of the Tetons, only 10 minutes from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Yellowstone National Park is approximately 1 hour northeast of Teton Village.
In addition to the legendary skiing in Jackson, there are some wonderful winter activities that can be enjoyed in the parks and surrounding wilderness areas, such as snowshoeing, dog-sledding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and sleigh rides through the elk refuge. Jackson also has an open backcountry gate system with over 3000 acres of terrain, which is easily accessible for backcountry ski touring and ski mountaineering. While Jackson has some excellent intermediate terrain, the mountain is known as the steep and deep playground for advanced and expert level riders.
