Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano Update

2011-07-04

As of July 2nd, Chile’s Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano has been releasing only small amounts of ash into the atmosphere up to 4,500 meters. Seismic activity has been very minimal and no more major eruptions are predicted in the near future. This is good news for the ski resorts, and of course the local residents, of Bariloche, San Martin de Los Andes, Villa La Angostura, and Esquel.
