Destination: Argentina
Availability: July – October
Bienvenidos to Argentina, here you will take in the wonderful culture and spectacular scenery. The adventure begins in the cosmopolitan mecca of Buenos Aires. This city combines the best of Latin America with a European flare. From there you’re off to the beautiful village of Bariloche, which is located along the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi in the Lakes District of Patagonia.
You will have five days to explore the Catedral Alta Patagonia Ski Resort (also known as Cerro Catedral) in Bariloche and a day at the Cerro Bayo Resort near the village of Villa La Angostura. The magical town of Bariloche is not only well known as a skiing mecca, but also for the wonderful restaurants that serve up delicious Argentine carne, local game and fish, as well as traditional Italian dishes. After exploring the immense terrain that Catedral has to offer, it’s time to head south to the village of Esquel, which is located in the southern Lakes District of Patagonia.
Flight from Buenos Aires into the city of Bariloche (2 hour 20 minutes), followed by a 45 minute transfer to the resort.
July – October
In Esquel, you will spend 3-days taking in the fine hospitality the locals are eagerly willing to share, eating excellent Patagonia trout and wild game, and drinking a nice variety of local wines. La Hoya is a family run ski resort and home to some of the best off-piste skiing in Argentina! The beauty of being in the middle of Patagonia is that the good ski lines last days and even weeks after storms roll through. This may make your legs beg for a break, but the adrenaline takes over and you keep them turning…. La Hoya is a special destination you will never forget!
On the last day of your trip you have the option of having a guided hike in the Alerces National Park or another morning of skiing. What are you waiting for, come join us on this wonderful adventure through the heart of the Patagonia!
Experience cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, a city with magnificent architecture and culture that is vibrant and playful with dramatic flair.
San Carlos de Bariloche has spectacular views of the Argentine Andres and lake Nahuel Huapi.
The morning will be for skiing at Catedral. In the afternoon you make your way to Esquel, in Chubut Province.
On day 7 you wake up in Esquel, a town at the foot of three mountains, La Zeta, La Cruz, Cerro 21, and La Hoya. The next two days will be spent skiing at La Hoya Resort
