    ABOUT THE RESORT

Winter Park is located 67 miles northwest of Denver in Grand County in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and is one of the largest ski resorts in the state.  The resort is known for its three interconnected peaks, Winter Park, Mary Jane, and Vasquez Ridge.  Winter Park can be accessed by shuttle from the Denver International Airport, rental car, or its unique Amtrak Ski Train from downtown Denver.

Voted as North America’s #1 ski resort by USA Today for 2018 and 2019, Winter Park Resort spans over 3,081 acres of skiable terrain across seven distinct territories, offering a wide range of trails for all skill levels. With a base elevation of 9,000 feet and a summit of 12,060 feet, the resort boasts reliable snow conditions and an average annual snowfall of over 300 inches. The mountain includes a variety of runs, from gentle groomers for beginners to challenging moguls and tree skiing in the renowned Mary Jane territory and the expert-only Vasquez Cirque. The lift system is modern and efficient, including a ten-person gondola and numerous high-speed chairs, ensuring easy access to the mountain’s 171 trails. Winter Park truly has something to offer for everyone and is home to the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD).

to off-mountain hotels and private vacation rentals, many of which are connected by a free resort shuttle service. Popular spots for a post-ski drink include the Derailer Bar and Deno’s Mountain Bistro, known for its extensive wine list and lively atmosphere.

    PERKS

The resort is highly family-friendly, providing perks such as a tubing hill, ice skating, and a convenient system of hand-pulled carts to help transport gear and small children from the parking areas. In the summer, the resort transforms into a hub for mountain biking, hiking, and an alpine slide, providing year-round recreational opportunities.
