    THE MOUNTAIN

    Steamboat spans across seven interconnected peaks, offering 3,741 acres of diverse skiable terrain with a vertical rise of 3,668 feet. The resort is famous for its light, dry snow, known as “Champagne Powder®”. With 181 named trails and 23 lifts, including a new 10-person Wild Blue Gondola, the mountain caters to all ability levels, featuring open meadows, gladed tree runs (especially on Pioneer Ridge, Storm Peak and Sunshine Peak), terrain parks, and dedicated beginner learning zones like Greenhorn Ranch.

    ACCOMMODATION & CUISINE

    Accommodation options range from luxury ski-in/ski-out resorts and private residences to budget-friendly hotels and condominiums, catering to various tastes and budgets. The authentic Western town of Steamboat Springs, located just minutes from the slopes, boasts over 100 bars and restaurants. On-mountain dining includes casual options like the Thunderhead Lodge food court and fine dining at places like Hazie’s and Ragnar’s, while the town offers a wide array of international cuisine, local favorites such as elk and Rocky Mountain trout, and popular spots like Salt & Lime and the Back Door Grill.

    Steamboat is a complete mountain range that includes Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak. Nearly 3,000 acres (1,200 hectares) of skiable terrain offers a wide range of trails for all ability levels.

    The gladed areas of Pioneer Ridge, Sunshine, and Storm Peak are Steamboat’s particular claim to fame, with legendary champagne powder and some of the best tree skiing found anywhere for avid powder hounds!
