ABOUT THE RESORT
Snowbird Ski Resort, located in Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon, is renowned for its exceptional, dry powder snow and challenging terrain. It also has wonderful terrain for beginners and intermediates. It is a premier year-round resort known for its stunning mountain views, luxury facilities, and convenient access, being only a 45-minute drive from the Salt Lake City International Airport.
Snowbird Resort has 2,500 acres of skiable terrain, 140 runs, numerous bowls and chutes to explore, 14 lifts, a 3,240 ft vertical drop, a terrain park, and 500″ of annual powder!

Snowbird also hosts the World Extreme Skiing Championships and North Face Snowboarding Masters each season. Snowbird’s iconic tram runs 125 people to the top of Hidden Peak every 7 minutes, allowing a 360 degree descent from the top.
THE MOUNTAIN
Snowbird is primarily celebrated as a haven for advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders, with a high concentration of challenging runs, steep chutes, and extensive off-piste opportunities. The resort spans 2,500 acres of skiable terrain, with a summit elevation of 11,000 feet and a vertical drop of 3,240 feet. Access to the mountain is facilitated by 13 lifts, including an iconic 125-person Aerial Tram that whisks guests to the top of Hidden Peak in approximately seven minutes. The resort averages an impressive 500 inches of snow annually and boasts the longest ski season in Utah, often extending into May or later.
ACCOMMODATION & CUISINE
Snowbird features a pedestrian village with a variety of ski-in/ski-out lodging options designed to cater to different needs and budgets. The main lodges include the luxurious Cliff Lodge (which features a world-class spa and rooftop pool/hot tub), the Lodge at Snowbird, The Inn, and the Iron Blosam Lodge, offering everything from standard hotel rooms to condominium-style accommodations with kitchens and fireplaces.
The resort boasts over 15 dining options, ranging from casual, on-mountain cafeterias like Mid-Gad Restaurant to fine-dining experiences. Notable restaurants include the upscale Aerie (contemporary American cuisine with panoramic views), the Steak Pit (steaks and seafood), the French-American Lodge Bistro, and the retro-themed SeventyOne, ensuring a wide array of culinary choices.
NIGHTLIFE
Snowbird’s nightlife is generally relaxed, focusing more on quality dining and casual lounges rather than a rambunctious party scene. Popular spots for après-ski and evening entertainment include the Tram Club, which often has live music on weekends and a lively pub atmosphere, and the lounges at The Aerie and the Wildflower, which offer a cozier setting with fireplaces and billiards.
PERKS
Unique perks of the resort include its exceptional proximity to a major international airport, the option for a joint ski pass with the adjacent, ski-only Alta resort, and the distinctive Peruvian Tunnel, which connects the front side of the mountain to the Mineral Basin. The Cliff Spa provides a luxurious non-ski activity, and the resort offers year-round activities in summer, such as hiking, mountain biking, and an alpine slide.
