    ABOUT THE RESORT

Heavenly Resort is located in South Lake Tahoe on the border of California and Nevada, just over 1 hour from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.  At Heavenly, you can ski in California & Nevada and enjoy an average of 300 days of sunshine a year!

High above the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly has some of the most picturesque vistas of any resort in North America.  There are 34 miles of wide-open slopes, buffed groomers, 1,600 foot descents in double-black diamond canyons, and some of the best tree skiing in North America.

    THE MOUNTAIN

Heavenly boasts some of the largest and highest ski terrain in the Lake Tahoe area, with over 4,800 acres of skiable terrain, a summit elevation of 10,067 feet (3,068 meters), and a vertical drop of over 3,800 feet. The resort features 97 trails, offering a diverse experience that caters well to all ability levels, particularly intermediates. Skiers can enjoy everything from wide, groomed cruisers and serene tree skiing to challenging double-black-diamond chutes in Mott and Killebrew Canyons. The mountain is known for its incredible views, allowing you to see the deep blue of Lake Tahoe on the California side and the high desert of Nevada on the other. The snow at Heavenly is plentiful, as large snow storms roar in off the Pacific Ocean and slam into the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The combination of cold air and lofty peaks delivers excellent powder during the cold winter months, which ensures a long spring skiing season.

    ACCOMMODATION & CUISINE

A wide variety of lodging options are available in South Lake Tahoe and the adjacent Stateline area, ranging from luxury ski-in/ski-out hotels and modern condos in Heavenly Village to more budget-friendly motels and private rentals. The dining scene is equally diverse, with numerous on-mountain lodges like Tamarack Lodge and Sky Deck offering casual fare and great views. In the village, options range from family-friendly spots like Base Camp Pizza Co. and California Burger Company to high-end dining experiences, ensuring something for every taste and budget.

    NIGHTLIFE

The nightlife at Heavenly is legendary, primarily centered around the Stateline area on the Nevada side, which is home to several large, 24-hour casinos (Harrah’s, Harvey’s, and MontBleu). Visitors can enjoy a “mini-Vegas” experience with non-stop entertainment, including nightclubs, bars, live music, and gambling. On the mountain, the “Unbuckle Après Party” at Tamarack Lodge features music and half-priced drinks, setting the tone for the evening’s festivities.

    PERKS

Unique perks include the ability to ski across two states in one day, breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe from most runs, and access to a massive 4,800 acres of terrain. The resort is part of the Epic Pass network, offering pass holders benefits such as discounted lift tickets for friends and up to 20% off food, lodging, and lessons. The convenience of a pedestrian-friendly village, a scenic gondola for non-skiers, and additional family activities like snow tubing and ice skating further enhance the experience.Heavenly has a great variety of terrain for all ability levels. With 97 runs, 3,500 foot vertical drop, 28 chairlifts, 4,800 skiable acres, and the highest summit elevation (10,067′) in the Lake Tahoe region, it’s no wonder why Heavenly is known as a World Class resort!

Did we mention South Lake Tahoe is also the perfect getaway for couples, families, and groups of friends looking to enjoy time together, both on and off the slopes.
