    ABOUT THE RESORT

Welcome to the Andes Mountains of Chile! Let Endless Turns arrange your all-inclusive ski and snowboarding package to El Colorado and La Parva Resorts, which are located 1.5 hours from Santiago. For skiing either resort you have the choice of staying in Valle Nevado, La Parva, or El Colorado.

El Colorado Ski Resort, located just 36 km (22 miles) from Santiago in the Chilean Andes, is a popular and historic destination known for its stunning views, reliable snow conditions, and family-friendly atmosphere. It is part of the larger Tres Valles ski area, interconnected with the nearby Farellones ski center, offering an extensive range of terrain for all skill levels.

    THE MOUNTAIN

El Colorado is a large ski complex that connects with both Valle Nevado and La Parva Resorts. El Colorado features over 1,000 hectares of skiable terrain with a maximum elevation of 3,333 meters (approx. 11,000 feet) and a vertical drop of over 900 meters. The resort receives abundant, high-quality powder snow and benefits from over 80% sunny days during the season. The trail mix caters well to beginners and intermediates, with dedicated learning zones and numerous groomed runs fanning out from the cone-shaped peak. Advanced and expert skiers can find more challenging lines, including chutes and off-piste opportunities, especially in areas like the eastern face and the Santa Teresa backcountry zone. The resort also boasts some of South America’s best snowparks, complete with a variety of jumps, rails, and a boardercross course.

    ACCOMMODATION & CUISINE

Lodging at El Colorado offers a variety of options, from cozy hotels and self-catered, ski-in/ski-out apartments to more budget-friendly hostels in the adjacent village of Farellones. Many accommodations offer amenities such as private parking, balconies with mountain views, and access to hot tubs or fitness centers.

The dining options are varied, ranging from fast-food outlets and slope-side food trucks to full-service restaurants offering local and international cuisine, including Swiss-alpine dishes like fondue. Notable spots include the high-altitude Olimpo restaurant and the pub El Montañés, known for great food and a lively atmosphere.

    NIGHTLIFE

El Colorado is very similar to that of La Parva – it has a small traditional mountain village, but with some great pubs and bars. It does offer some nightlife, with pubs and a discotheque available. The nearby village of Farellones provides a more traditional mountain village experience and is a central hub for social activity after the lifts close.

    PERKS

El Colorado is a large ski complex above the metropolis of Santiago, which connects to Valle Nevado and La Parva Resorts. Skiing from El Colorado to the other two resorts is an experience in itself. Key perks of El Colorado include its proximity and easy access from Santiago, making it ideal for day trips or flexible length stays. The resort is highly family-friendly, with excellent ski schools for children and a range of non-skiing activities like tubing, zip-lining, and sledding at the interconnected Farellones park. Additionally, the electronic Skipass system enhances convenience, and the resort often offers competitive rates and packages compared to its “Tres Valles” neighbors, La Parva and Valle Nevado.

    The Mountain

El Colorado is a large ski complex that connects with both Valle Nevado and La Parva Resorts. This mountain has a lot of every type of terrain imaginable. There is great  corduroy for arcing those big turns and chutes so steep your hair will be standing up on the back of your neck (these are technically out-of-bounds with a bit of a walk out at the bottom, but definitely worth it!). El Colorado is typically one of the first to open its slopes each season, which typically is mid-June.

    Accommodations & Cuisine

The Village of Farellones is located just below the ski resort and also has some nice lodging and great traditional Chilean restaurants.  The village has a wonderful locals feel that caters to families, friends, couples, and individual travelers.
