    ABOUT THE RESORT

Brighton Ski Resort is renowned for its laid-back, local-friendly atmosphere and abundant, high-quality snow. It is a “no-frills” resort that focuses on providing excellent terrain for all skill levels, making it particularly popular with families and snowboarders.

Brighton also has a community of amazing snowboarders and free-ride skiers, which is not surprising, considering the great backcountry access gates located at the tops of the lifts.

Lodging is located 25-30 minutes away in Salt Lake.

    THE MOUNTAIN
Brighton sits high in the Wasatch Mountains, with a base elevation of 8,755 feet and a summit of 10,500 feet, which helps it catch over 500 inches of the famous Utah powder annually. The resort features 1,050 acres of skiable terrain, with 66 runs that funnel back to a central base area, making it easy to navigate for mixed-ability groups. The terrain is well-distributed (21% beginner, 40% intermediate, 39% advanced) and includes wide groomers, exceptional glade (tree) skiing, open bowls, and six diverse terrain parks and numerous off-piste bowls/chutes/glades begging to be shredded! It also offers extensive backcountry access and an interconnection with the neighboring Solitude Mountain Resort for those with a combined pass.

    ACCOMMODATION & CUISINE
On-mountain lodging options are limited, primarily to the rustic Brighton Lodge and nearby Brighton Chalets, which offer simple, convenient access to the slopes. The Lodge provides hotel-style rooms and a communal hot tub, with breakfast often included. For more extensive options, most visitors stay in the nearby Solitude village or down in the Salt Lake City area (e.g., Cottonwood Heights, Sandy) where value-priced hotels and a wider array of amenities are available.

Dining on the mountain includes casual, no-fuss options: the main Alpine Rose cafeteria, Milly Chalet (known for BBQ), the mid-mountain Sidewinder Grill (smash burgers), and The Blind Miner Café
for morning coffee and pastries. The main full-service option is Molly Green’s, a slopeside bar and grill serving pub classics.

    NIGHTIFE
The nightlife at Brighton is minimal, in line with its “no-frills” reputation. There are no vibrant villages with many bars and shops; the main après-ski spot is Molly Green’s. The primary “nightlife” activity is actually the resort’s extensive night skiing, which illuminates over 200 acres and 32 runs six nights a week, allowing guests to ride well into the evening.

    PERKS
Key perks include a very friendly and laid-back atmosphere that attracts a local crowd, a strong appeal to snowboarders, and great value for the quality of snow and terrain. Children aged six and under ski free with a paying adult, and the resort is known as an excellent, unintimidating place for all ability levels to learn and progress.
