    ABOUT THE RESORT

Niseko United is located on the northern island of Hokkaido in Japan and is 1.5 hours from the city of Sapporo. Niseko is made up of four separate ski resorts: Hanazono, Tokyu Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village, & Annupuri.  All four areas are located on Niseko Annupuri Mountain.  Each resort offers wonderful terrain for all ability levels, as well as some of the best lift accessed off-piste and backcountry on the island of Hokkaido.  With its immense variety of terrain and beautiful forests, Niseko offers an unforgettable experience for all levels of skier and snowboarders.

    ACCOMMODATIONS & CUISINE

At the resort there is a wonderful selection of room types, including suites, guest rooms, studios, Japanese-style rooms, apartments, condos, and townhomes. We will ensure you have the perfect accommodations for your ski holiday!  Restaurants in the ski village source local ingredients, from Hokkaido-produced seafood to meat, and dairy products. There is a vast selection of restaurants to choose from in each mountain village.  You will be able to experience wonderful Japanese cuisine, such as sushi, ramen, soba noodles, yakiniku (barbecue), tempura, and teppanyaki dishes.  There is also an excellent selection of international cuisine.

    THE MOUNTAINS

    Hanazono Resort:

At Hanazono there is a great variety of terrain, from dedicated learning areas for beginners, terrain parks, and exciting tree runs.  All of this can be explored with the new lift and gondola.

    Tokyu Grand Hirafu:

Hirafu is the largest area of the 4 resorts and boasts an unforgettable powder snow experience. There is also a wide range of facilities that can be found at the base of the mountain, including hotels, condos, shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. Grand Hirafu’s amenities will have everyone enjoying their snow holiday more than ever.

    Niseko Village:

Incredible off-piste powder skiing abounds in Niseko Village!  The resort boasts some of the best and longest runs out of the four areas. There are numerous scenic trails through the forests, cruisers, bowls, and mogul runs to enjoy. The ski village has wonderful amenities and non-skiing activities for families as well.

    Annupuri:

Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities can enjoy fresh powder off-piste, as well as perfectly groomed runs at Annupuri.  There are also wonderful backcountry skiing opportunities off the back of the resort.  Niseko Annupuri offers fantastic views from the slopes that lead to a well-designed base area featuring natural Onsens (hot springs). The resort has a very laid back vibe with the main focus being skiing and snowboarding, followed by a nice meal and drinks to cap off the fantastic day!

    THE SNOW

Seasonal winds from the Eurasian continent pick up moisture over the warm currents of the Sea of Japan, which produce some of the driest, lightest, and deepest powder in the world.

    ACTIVITIES

Guests can choose from a wide array of activities, everything from snowmobiling to zip-lining, snow tubing and rafting, snowshoe tours, and guided backcountry and snow-cat skiing.

    APRES & NIGHTLIFE

Niseko has something for everyone to celebrate the epic ski day on the mountain, starting with apres and continuing through the night. The Hirafu area has the most vibrant nightlife out of all the ski villages and a visit to the picturesque town of Kutchan will not disappoint.  Throughout the week you can choose from elegant wine bars with a relaxing vibe, craft breweries, traditional whiskey bars, and vibrant dance clubs.

    PERKS

One of the perks of skiing and travelling in Japan is enjoying the wonderful Onsens (hot springs). The hot water comes from underground at the base of Mt. Yotei.  Soaking in an Onsen is the perfect way to finish a ski day and the therapeutic waters are perfect for soothing leg and back muscles.
