2021 South American Ski Season

2021-06-01

Endless Turns Family and Friends,

We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy during these difficult times. As the snow begins to fly across the Andes Mountains and the 2021 South American ski season approaches, all eyes and ears are on when the borders will open in Chile & Argentina.  As of June 1, 2021 borders are closed to non-essential travel and international visitors.  Ski resorts in both countries are planning on opening for the ski season, but dates have not yet been determined.

As of May 27, 2021 Chile has made great progress vaccinating their citizens, with 7.7 million people having received 2 shots and 9.6 million people 1 shot.  The Chilean government is estimating to have 80% of their population vaccinated by June 30th.  This is great news for the ski season at the Chilean resorts and we are very optimistic the season will happen.

However, if travel to South America is not possible this winter season (between July and October), then we will apply 100% of your trip payment towards the 2022 ski season in Chile or Argentina.  This will be credit you have with Endless Turns that never expires, so you do not need to worry about forfeiting any deposits nor final trip payments that have already been made.

Examples of this would be any travel bans that prohibit you from departing your home city/country, arriving at your final destination, or if you become ill due to the virus and need to self-quarantine or seek medical treatment.

We will be providing an update for Chile on June 30th (sooner if possible), as this is the date the government is going to announce when the current lockdown and curfews will end.  Stay tuned for updates on border date openings for Chile & Argentina on our social media platforms.

Until then think snow!
