• There is some incredible terrain off the Valle Nevado/Colorado ridge line, which drops to the road (steep faces and chutes that will challenge even the best free riders!). In addition there is some wonderful terrain behind the upper mountain.

• El Colorado is a large ski complex above the metropolis of Santiago, which connects to Valle Nevado and La Parva Resorts. Skiing from El Colorado to the other two resorts is an experience in itself.  The Village of Farellones is located just below the ski resort and offers additional lodging options and wonderful traditional Chilean restaurants.

• There is very nice ski touring behind the Piuquenes lift, and some other great spots off the Valle Nevado/La Parva ridge-line. Steep chutes abound above Las Aguilas lift (out of the resort).

• The village of La Parva is a charming Andean village that is composed of old wooden homes and chalets. La Parva has a wide variety of terrain that is great for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.  The backcountry access here is very good, with steep chutes, couloirs, and endless powder fields.

• Snowcats are used to transport skiers and snowboarders to the top of the runs, with a 22-person capacity.

• Ski Arpa is about breathtaking vistas, big vertical, and great Andean powder. The two valleys of Ski Arpa—Valle el Arpa and Valle la Honda—are unlike anywhere in the world. At the summit, you can see east to Aconcagua Mountain, the highest peak of the Americas, and west to the Pacific Ocean.  The turns, Chilean hospitality, and comradery will be etched in your minds forever!
